New ad 'glorified revolution,' he complains

(NEWSER) - Glenn Beck is going on a one-man sort-of boycott of Levi’s over the company's new “Go Forth” ad, which he says “glorifies revolution.” The ad, which debuted during Monday Night Football, includes a shot of a young man challenging a line of police in riot gear. “I can’t believe I’m saying this. I love Levi’s,” Beck said on his radio show Wednesday, according to the New York Daily News . “Never again, Levi’s, never again will you get a dime from me. … I won’t wear your stupid red tab.” More»

He's shifting toward political organizer, plans big DC rally

(NEWSER) - Glenn Beck is fashioning himself into a political organizer. Beck unveiled his promised "big plan" today at a Florida rally , in a letter to supporters, and in an interview with the New York Times . He plans a series of educational "conventions" across the country to teach people "how to be a political force," along with voter-registration drives. These will culminate in August or September with a DC march that will coincide with—ta da—the release of a new Beck book on solutions called The Plan. More»

(NEWSER) - The conservative coup in New York’s special election shows just how little control the GOP has over the ascendant tea party movement—it's a mutiny, and it's just gaining steam, activists say. The folks who helped push Republican Dede Scozzafava out of the race in favor of conservative Doug Hoffman tell Politico they’re itching for the next showdown. “The Hoffman campaign was the beginning.
