(NEWSER) - A Walmart shopper in upstate New York slugged a 70-year-old store greeter who asked to look at the woman's receipts as she left, according to authorities. Jacquetta Simmons, 26, has been arrested and charged with two counts of assault for the attack that fractured the greeter's face and knocked her to the ground, said police. Simmons ran from the store but was immediately surrounded by store workers and held for police, according to witnesses. It wasn't clear why Simmons attacked the greeter; she had receipts for all of her merchandise, police told the Rochester Democrat and Chronicle . More»

Cops: We want him off the streets

(NEWSER) - What a heel. A sicko with a foot fetish is prowling the streets of an Arkansas town hunting for toes to suck. "We want him off the streets," said a Conway police spokesman. He rather aggressively removed the shoe of one elderly woman sitting on her porch and began to suck her toes when she told him he was crazy. He fled as people approached, according to police. Another woman was approached by a man who told her he wanted to suck her "succulent" toes. She told police that the man had "messed up toes." In the 1990s, Arkansas was plagued by similar attacks by a man known as the "Toe Suck Fairy," notes the Telegraph. More»

They became suspicious when they found a small bag of crack tied to the waistband of Antoine Banks' boxers as they patted him down for processing into jail on yet another drug charge, reports WLKY TV . Brittney Kustes was to testify against him, says mom

(NEWSER) - Police fear a missing teenager is being held by the same sex offender who held her against her will over a year ago. Brittney Kustes, 19, was last seen at her grandparents' pool in Kentucky. She was to testify against Roy Vernon Elwell, 34, next week, according to her mom. A friend spotted Vernon driving up and down the street looking for Kustes shortly before she vanished, reports ABC News . Vernon is a "bad dude," said Bullitt County Sheriff Detective Scotty McGaha. (NEWSER) - Toni Tramel had been arrested for public drunkenness, a misdemeanor. But when the 31-year-old Kentucky woman was putting on her inmate uniform, she allegedly squirted a stream of breast milk in the face of the female deputy watching her, WYMT-TV reports. After cleaning the “bio-hazard” off her face, the deputy saw that Tramel was charged with third-degree assault, a felony. More»
