(NEWSER) - Katy Perry won the top prize at last night's MTV Video Music Awards, in an event that was dominated by women. Perry took home three Moonmen, including one for video of the year for "Firework," reports the Hollywood Reporter. "There's nothing like your first time, your first Moonman, right?" said Perry as she accepted her award. "Now this is a time you want to interrupt me right, Kanye?" she asked Mr. West, who has been known to do that sort of thing . (NEWSER) - Taylor Swift forgave Kanye West last night In an unusual musical reconciliation at the MTV Video Music Awards. "Who you are is not what you did," Swift sang to the rapper who rudely stormed onstage last year to challenge Swift's victory in the Best Female Video category. Kanye acknowledged his bad-boy behavior in his own song that ended the program. "Let's toast to the scumbags," he crooned, apparently referring to himself.
