(NEWSER) - A German court has convicted a British bishop of inciting racial hatred and fined him $13,544 for denying the Holocaust in a 2009 TV interview. Richard Williamson wasn’t in the courtroom, the BBC reports. The court heard a tape of Williamson declaring that only “200,000 to 300,000 Jews perished in Nazi concentration camps,” and that no gas chambers were used. He can be heard telling the interviewer, “Be careful, this is against the law in Germany.” More»

(NEWSER) - A German chapel built using ruins from Hitler's luxury retreat has become a hit with neo-Nazis. The Bavarian government only recently acknowledged that marble blocks and stones quarried by Jewish slaves in Hitler's Berghof in Berchtesgaden were used to build Wegmacher Chapel in 1997. (NEWSER) - Neo-Nazis have lost a familiar haunting ground: The tombstone identifying the burial site of Hitler's parents, Alois and Klara, has been removed from an Austrian cemetery, reports AP . The marker was taken away at the request of a relative, in part because it had become a shrine for extremists. (NEWSER) - Rick Santorum's evil metaphors are not playing well: While the Drudge Report berated Santorum for warning that Satan is after America's soul , Dana Milbank of the Washington Post is now skewering him for hinting that there's a Nazi in the White House. Santorum compared the 2012 election in a weekend speech to that time when Americans didn't act against Adolf Hitler because they thought he was a "nice guy." The "obvious implication—later denied by the candidate—was that Santorum is some modern-day Churchill and President Obama is der Fuhrer," writes Milbank.
