(NEWSER) - Kim Kardashian is PETA’s latest target, but her crime (holding a kitten by the scruff of the neck) is tame compared to what other celebrities have been accused of. The Frisky rounds up nine more who are in the doghouse with animal rights organizations:

• Paris Hilton: She has a history of acquiring animal accessories, then forgetting them—one kitten was hit by a car and employees say she abandons animals in closets to die.
• Banksy: The British artist once painted an elephant pink to bring awareness to world poverty. Since the paint was nontoxic, one animal rights group called the move merely "gimmicky."

Hilton escalates feud, says she treats 'pets like children'

(NEWSER) - For every celebrity willing to pose naked in a PETA ad, there’s one who is equally willing to flaunt fur clothing all over town. The Frisky rounds up PETA’s 10 worst enemies:

• Kelis: The singer recently accused PETA of being “the death of fashion.”
• Lindsay Lohan: The actress was famously doused with flour by a PETA activist.
• Kate Moss: Though PETA is no fan of Moss when she wears fur, the organization does like the fur-free line she designed for Topshop.
• Paris Hilton: Another celeb who got “floured” by PETA—and she uses pets as accessories, too.
• Victoria Beckham: She wears fur and leather. Enough said.

Kardashian and West are still apparently publicizing each other

(NEWSER) - The Kim Kardashian-Kanye West publicity stunt —er, relationship—lives on: A jealous Kim has now banned all other women from hanging around her man. "Kim is incredibly protective of Kanye and doesn’t want any women near him unless she is there—even his friends," a source tells the Sun . Rihanna, who has joined Kanye and Jay-Z on stage, "wasn’t even allowed to go into his dressing room without Kim being there." But perhaps Kim needn't worry: The New York Daily News reports that Kanye blew off a planned performance at Cannes last week to have dinner with Kim, and adds that Rihanna is dating New York Knick JR Smith anyway.
