(NEWSER) - An Albuquerque mom has confessed to police that she killed her toddler son—twice—and buried his body in a playground. She suffocated 3-year-old Ty, then changed her mind and used CPR to revive him before deciding again to suffocate him, Tiffany Toribio told detectives. Tonya Thomas, children had troubled past

(NEWSER) - Tonya Thomas shot her four children 18 times in Tuesday's massacre , and two of them were shot as the gun pressed against their chests, according to the medical examiner's report. She used jacketed, hollow-point bullets, which cause more damage than full-metal jacket rounds, and used a single Taurus .38-caliber revolver, which she would have had to reload three times. Charges against mom will be upgraded to murder

(NEWSER) - A tragic ending to a sad story: The 7-month-old baby boy allegedly thrown from the roof of a parking structure by his mother died today. Noe Medina Jr. fell from a California children’s hospital garage Monday, and mother Sonia Hermosillo has been charged with attempted murder and child abuse. The deputy DA is expected to file a new complaint charging her with murder, the Los Angeles Times reports. Baby girl found killed in father's truck at Calif. home

(NEWSER) - A California cop is hit in the neck in a dramatic video of a shootout outside a family home where a suicidal father killed his baby daughter and mother-in-law, according to investigators. Police officer Jarred Slocum can be seen sprinting to safety, clutching his neck, before collapsing on an El Cajon street. Gunman Kevin James Collier had opened fire on the officers responding to a domestic violence call, then ran into his home and set it ablaze, reports MSNBC . His body and his mother-in-law's were later discovered inside. Collier's 14-month-old baby daughter was found shot dead in his truck, reports the Daily Mail. More»
