Users are spending 23% of their time on the Internet using sites like Facebook and MySpace, and just 8.3% on email. The social media giant scored a dismal 64 out of 100 on the latest American Customer Service Index, which included social networking sites for the first time this year. A recent survey found that 45% of human-resource departments search the social-media profiles of prospective employees, with another 11% planning to institutionalize a social-networking screen in the near future.
