(NEWSER) - Will Ferrell made a movie in Spanish? Yep. Ferrell's latest flick Casa de Mi Padre is an entirely subtitled affair, sending up low-budget telenovelas. Critics are lukewarm on the results—some appreciate its zaniness, but many liken it to an overlong sketch.

• "As tickled as I was by the slaphappy one-joke silliness of Casa de Mi Padre, I’d be a lot less amused if I’d paid $23 for a pair of tickets," writes Ty Burr of the Boston Globe . (NEWSER) - Forever 21, the "fast fashion" store known for its cheap designer knockoffs, is threatening to sue the creator of the website WTForever21 —because, among other reasons, the store doesn't appreciate being associated with the "F-word." Rachel Kane, who created the satire blog, talks to the Consumerist , Jezebel , and the Village Voice about her troubles, noting the irony in the fact that Forever 21 has itself been sued for copyright infringement by designers including Diane Von Furstenberg, Gwen Stefani, and Anna Sui. (NEWSER) - The Brazilian equivalents of Jon Stewart plan to gather in Rio de Janiero this weekend to protest a law that prevents them from making fun of politicians. The law—a relic from Brazil's days of authoritarian rule—outlaws ridiculing candidates for 3 months before an election, the Telegraph reports. Broadcasters who break the rules can be fined $110,000 and have their licenses pulled. More»
