(NEWSER) - At least two tourists were killed today in the Philippines, after an ex-police officer took their bus hostage in a bizarre bid to get his old job back. The ex-officer, Rolando Mendoza, flagged down the bus in Manila about 10 hours ago, wearing his police uniform, CNN reports. Once on board, he brandished an automatic weapon, told the driver to lock the door, and posted messages in the bus window, one of which detailed the criminal charges that had cost him his job, according to Sky News .
