(NEWSER) - South Korean customs authorities have made a highly disturbing find: Thousands of capsules made of powdered baby flesh, believed by some to have healing powers. Smugglers have attempted to get nearly 17,500 such capsules into the country since August, officials say. Made in northeastern China, the pills contain diced flesh that has been dried on a stove. Concerned about diplomatic tension, officials wouldn't reveal who made the capsules or how they got to South Korea. More»

Says broken collarbone, scarring forced her to quit job as dancer

(NEWSER) - Leon Panetta on Tuesday revealed a 2011 incident in which three Marines on a US Embassy security team reportedly pushed a prostitute out of a van in Brasilia. And today Reuters has the juicy details, per Romilda Aparecida Ferreira, 31, and her lawyer. They intend to sue the embassy over the Dec. 29 event, in which Ferreira says the van's back wheel ran her over. They say the vehicle stopped briefly, but ultimately left her in a nightclub parking lot with a broken collarbone and punctured lung. More»

Brazilian dies after Good Friday accident

(AP) - A Brazilian actor playing Judas who accidentally hanged himself during a scene in "The Passion of Christ" has died. A hospital in Brazil's Sao Paulo state confirms on its website the death of 27-year-old Tiago Klimeck. An autopsy is being performed today following his death the previous day. The actor had been in a coma since the accident on Good Friday earlier this month in the city of Itarare. More»
