(NEWSER) - Today's moment in Marines weirdness: Terminator star Linda Hamilton has turned the tables on the Marines and filmed her own YouTube appeal begging for an invitation to the ball. Hamilton says she cried "all night long" after hearing that Betty White turned down an invitation from Sgt. Ray Lewis, and that she wants to make it up to him. "I know that I am no Betty White, but I would be really, really thrilled" to attend the ball, Hamilton pleads, in an appeal that randomly starts with a workout montage, and lists her winning traits: She's "vintage," and "twice as funny" as White! (NEWSER) - You can't keep a bad singer down. Rebecca Black, the brunette America has loved to hate since she released "Friday" , is taking out her revenge in a new video for "This Is My Moment." "Were you the one who said I'd be nuthin'? I'm about to prove you wrong . My one wish is about to come true," she croons on YouTube. Deal would mark watershed for mother of network news

(NEWSER) - CBS, the network of Ed Murrow and Walter Cronkite that is widely credited with inventing television news, is considering outsourcing some of its news gathering activities to CNN, according to the New York Times. Ashton Kutcher gets a pay raise in renewed contract

(NEWSER) - Ashton Kutcher still has a job: CBS has officially picked up Two and a Half Men for a 10th season, reports the Hollywood Reporter . The renewed deal gives Kutcher and co-stars Jon Cryer and Angus T Jones raises, with Kutcher reported to now be making $725,000 an episode, up from his current $700,000. Two and a Half Men hit a minor slump late last season, but pulls in solid ratings and significant cash for CBS. More»
