Death sets off both tributes and good-riddance shots

(NEWSER) - Andrew Breitbart's death continues to set off a wide range of reactions. Some examples:

• 'Liberals celebrate': The Washington Examiner rounds up tweets from the left under that headline, including one from Slate's Matt Yglesias, who says the "world outlook is slightly improved" now.
• Tone it down: "The content of some of those tweets reveal something quite rotten," writes Andrew Sullivan at the Dish . "A man has died at a painfully early age. He has family and friends and colleagues. They are in grief. Yes, he was a public figure, who doled it out relentlessly. But his family is human. We can too easily forget they exist."

Rips MSNBC host for slandering O'Keefe in 'propaganda campaign'

(NEWSER) - Conservative media entrepreneur Andrew Breitbart lashed out at Rachel Maddow yesterday, branding the MSNBC host intellectually dishonest and slamming her politics. Breitbart was particularly angry about Maddow's coverage of the man who created the ACORN pimp videos, James O’Keefe. Says reporter 'lied' to get him to talk about James O'Keefe case

(NEWSER) - Conservative provocateur Andrew Breitbart is escalating his feud with MSNBC's David Shuster with a column not-so-subtly headlined "How David Shuster Lied to Get Me to Appear on MSNBC." It follows a TV interview in which the two clashed over the motives of James O'Keefe in the phone tampering case. (See video.) (NEWSER) - ACORN chief Bertha Lewis wasn’t in the mood to apologize at the National Press Club yesterday. For anything. Not for the internal ACORN review showing that $5 million had been embezzled from the group, rather than the previously alleged $1 million (“This is speculation, completely false”), not the voter registrations allegedly filled out for Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck (“an utter fabrication”), and certainly not for the “highly edited” pimp and prostitute tapes.
