1. Michele Bachmann (R-MN): From calling the president “anti-American” to warning of tyranny, “Bachmann has become a symbol of all things Wingnutty in American politics.”

(NEWSER) - Federal authorities are on the case after a Pennsylvania paper ran a classified ad that appears to call for the assassination of President Obama, Editor & Publisher reports. “May Obama follow in the footsteps of Lincoln, Garfield, McKinley & Kennedy!” the ad read. Donald Trump accuses Obama of being 'a terrible student'

(NEWSER) - Critics of President Obama, rejoice: While "birthers" didn't give birth to much, "transcripters" have come to save the day. The Los Angeles Times coined the phrase for conservatives who want to see Obama's transcripts from Harvard Law School, Columbia University, and Occidental College. A website called The Trenches is even offering $20,000 for them. Why? "We’re not convinced that Barack is as smart as you media elitists keep insisting he is," The Trenches says. More»

Promotional booklet claimed he was born in Kenya

(NEWSER) - "Birther" conspiracy theorists have received a treat from Breitbart . The website has obtained a promotional booklet produced in 1991 by literary agency Acton & Dysel, which describes Barack Obama as "born in Kenya, and raised in Indonesia and Hawaii." Obama, who was one of the agency's clients at the time, is one of 90 writers with brief biographies in the booklet, which was distributed in the publishing industry. More»

Says hijacking note he put in pal's luggage was just a joke

(AP) - A 31-year-old man from Utah is facing a federal charge after he allegedly left an apparent prank note that included the words "hijack plane" and "kill Obama" in his co-worker's luggage. Jeremiah Douglas Hill, of Clinton, was charged yesterday with one misdemeanor count of making a false alarm for intentionally circulating a false warning of a plane hijacking. More»
