"We are so thrilled that our prayers have been answered," she tells E! . The couple struggled to conceive and is using a gestational surrogate, who is carrying their genetic child; the baby is due in late summer. Rancic joins these other celebrity parents who used surrogates:

• Sarah Jessica Parker: When the actress and hubby Matthew Broderick were expecting, SJP feared for her surrogate mom's safety, saying the paparazzi harassed her. She later gave birth —safely—to twins.

(NEWSER) - Rutgers has suffered some bad publicity lately, most recently when news surfaced that Snooki was paid more than Toni Morrison to give a talk there. But a group of students believes it has a solution: Bring Bruce Springsteen to campus. A Facebook event titled "College Ave Freeze Out: Let's Bring the Boss to Rutgers!" had 4,638 prospective attendees as of today, and it explains that "Bruce Springsteen embodies the honest, working individual of which our state and our university are comprised. ... No spray-tanning and juicing—just classic rock and honest work.” More»

(NEWSER) - Oprah Winfrey and Paul McCartney were among the latest group of celebs to receive Kennedy Center Honors in a star-filled night that included tributes from Julia Roberts and John Travolta, among others. Merle Haggard, Broadway composer Jerry Herman, and dancer Bill T. Jones were also honored, as they sat with the president, first lady, and former Secretary of State Colin Powell.
