(NEWSER) - Apparently most of Canada was holding it during the gold medal hockey game. Water consumption spiked wildly between the game’s periods, as much of the city ran to the bathroom, according to this incredible graph from Edmonton’s water utility. During the final moments of the game, and during the medal ceremony, consumption fell off equally drastically, hitting insane lows. Sidney Crosby, shut down most of the tournament, wristed a shot past Ryan Miller 7:40 into overtime after Team USA tied the score with 24.4 seconds left in regulation, and Canada survived a tense, taut game to prevail, 3-2, in the men's hockey final today in Vancouver.
