(AP) - So much for those wild and crazy first few weeks of college. In keeping with a belief that fraternities and sororities promote social exclusiveness, Princeton University says any freshman who joins, rushes, or pledges to a Greek organization starting this fall will face suspension. The Ivy League school has a long-standing policy of not officially recognizing frats or sororities, and says any student who solicits the participation of freshmen in Greek organizations this fall will also face suspension. (NEWSER) - As if the Secret Service didn't have enough to deal with just now, agents are meeting today with shoot-from-the-lip rocker Ted Nugent . They're concerned about his comments that he'll be "dead or in jail" if President Obama wins reelection, apparently indicating some kind of violence . During the meeting he intends to be as "polite and supportive as I possibly can be, which will be thoroughly," Nugent told Glenn Beck yesterday . "The bottom line is I've never threatened anybody's life in my life," Nugent added. "I don't threaten, I don't waste breath threatening. Gross Hazing Charges Rock Dartmouth

College charges 27 after senior claims pledges forced to swim in vomit

(NEWSER) - Dartmouth College is in a tizzy over allegations of some seriously sick hazing at one of its fraternities. Former Sigma Alpha Epsilon member Andrew Lohse caused an uproar with a school newspaper column describing how pledges were pressured to swim in kiddie pools filled with puke and rotten food. The Ivy League college has since charged 27 frat members, including Lohse himself, with hazing pledges last fall, AP finds. More»
