(NEWSER) - Several major airports are taking a stand against PETA ads that make light of the TSA's new security procedures. One, a video originally planned to be shown in Boston on Logan Airport's free wi-fi network, features Pamela Anderson (hardly) dressed as a TSA agent stripping passengers of leather and fur. A rep tells the Boston Herald , however, the move had more to do with the sexy nature of the video than with the TSA-related content: "Pam Anderson grabbing a guy’s crotch, the naked people, etc. won’t fly." (NEWSER) - Celebs are split on which is more outrageous: that the whale that killed a SeaWorld trainer this week is still alive, or that the whale was a captured and trained to perform in the first place. Reactions from Hollywood, as rounded up by E! :

• Nick Cannon: “People need to stop messing with animals with the word 'KILLER.' Has anyone ever seen a Black Whale trainer?” he tweeted. His hashtag sums it up: #wedontdothatsh!t.
• Dane Cook: “Lots of people concerned about this tragic killer whale situation. Please don't panic the flu still kills more people each year.”

Gary Ross confirms he's not returning for 'Catching Fire'

(NEWSER) - After weeks of rumors that director Gary Ross may not return for the second film in the Hunger Games franchise, Ross and Lionsgate confirmed the news today—while simultaneously shooting down rumors of contentious negotiations. "Contrary to what has been reported, negotiations with Lionsgate have not been problematic. They have also been very understanding of me through this difficult decision," said Ross, who added that he simply does not have enough time to do Catching Fire based on "the fixed and tight production schedule." The Los Angeles Times , however, notes that the release date is still 19 months away—"not a luxurious timetable, but hardly a bang-bang one either." More»

She won't condone 'bullying' of sister Kim

(NEWSER) - The drama continues: Khloe Kardashian is now denouncing PETA, after the animal rights group offered its support to the woman who doused sister Kim Kardashian with flour . TMZ also reports that the woman in question, Christina Cho, is a big PETA activist who was even given an award from the group in 2010, though PETA denies any connection to the incident. Once Khloe—who posed nude for PETA in 2008 —found that out, she took to her blog : "Not only has PETA lied to the public, but they have proved that they support this kind of behavior." More»
