The authors of the resolution say  the system restricts trade because only the biggest schools seem to have a shot at being voted into the championship game. The Broncos were routed by the Louisville Cardinals in an NCAA first round matchup last night, 79-61, reports the AP. Boise State entered the game ranked second in the nation in shooting. (Newser) - It took triple overtime, but Boise State's wait to return to the NCAA Tournament is finally over, reports the Associated Press. Reggie Larry scored 31 points and Matt Nelson had 26 as the Broncos beat New Mexico State 107-102 last night to win the WAC tournament title. The win gives the Broncos an automatic berth in the NCAA Tournament, their first in 14 years. More »

E. Carolina Wins Hawaii Bowl

Last second field goal carries the day

(Newser) - Despite a late Boise State comeback in the final minutes of regulation, East Carolina and MVP Chris Johnson are Hawaii bowl champions, the AP reports. A field goal at the end of regulation gave the Pirates a 41-38 victory over the favorites 24th-ranked Boise State. The victory is East Carolina's first in the post season since 2000. More »

(Newser) - Boise State continued to look out of place in the WAC conference last night with an easy defeat of the Fresno Bulldogs. The runaway Broncos, who have not lost a conference game since Fresno routed them in 2005, improved to 7-1, 4-0.
