(Newser) - It was hard to tell what was more important in Wisconsin's 72-55 win over Kansas State, today: the points Trevon Hughes scored, or the ones Michael Beasley didn't. Hughes scored 25, as the third-seeded Badgers sent the Wildcats home with a second-round win in the NCAA Tournament. Freshman Beasley scored 23 for Kansas State, but only six in the second half. (Newser) - It took big brother Wisconsin almost all night to shake little brother Cal State Fullerton, but the Badgers finally ran away to a 71-56 first round win in the NCAA Tournament last night, reports the Associated Press. Wisconsin tops Illinois for Big 10 while Kansas outduels Texas in Big 12 title game

(Newser) - Sophomore Wayne Ellington scored 24 points on 10-of-13 shooting as North Carolina defeated Clemson for the third time this season, 86-81, to win the ACC championship.
