(Newser) - Roy Hibbert hit a three-pointer with 4 seconds left to give No. 7 Georgetown a 72-69 win over Connecticut Saturday, the Associated Press reports. Hibbert, the 7-foot-2 center not normally known for his long-range prowess, had 20 points and eight rebounds as the Hoyas improved to 13-1 overall and 3-0 in Big East. Memphis routs Pepperdine, Hoyas open Big East with win

(Newser) - No. 3 Kansas improved to 14-0 for the sixth time in school history with an 85-60 win over Boston College today, the AP reports. (Newser) - No. 5 Georgetown used a 14-1 run late in the second half to overtake and beat upset-minded Alabama 70-60. The Crimson Tide led at the break and for periods during the second half but the Hoyas, led by DaJuan Summers’ 18 points and nine rebounds, proved too strong. (Newser) - They might be 85-17 all-time against Davidson, but Duke struggled to pull out a 79-73 victory today against the Wildcats, needing key late shots from Greg Paulus. (Newser) - UCLA, with quality wins against Maryland and Michigan State last week,  grabbed the top spot in the ESPN/USA Today coaches' poll today, reports the Los Angeles Times , while North Carolina retained the No. 1 rank from the AP.
