      Cough Syrup OD Killed Rapper

      (Newser) - Texas rapper Pimp C, found dead in a Los Angeles hotel room in December, died from an overdose of prescription cough syrup coupled with a sleep disorder that interrupts breathing, the LA coroner ruled yesterday. The 33-year-old Grammy nominee's death has been ruled an accident, reports the Houston Chronicle. Pimp C, whose real name was Chad Butler, died while he was in town for a concert. More »

      Rapper Pimp C Found Dead in Hotel Room

      (Newser) - Rapper Pimp C, half of the chart-topping duo UGK, was found dead in his Los Angles hotel room yesterday, and authorities have found no signs of foul play. Paramedics responded to a 911 call yesterday morning to discover Pimp C, 33, dead in bed, fully clothed. No drugs or related paraphernalia were found, and it appears he was alone when he died, authorities said. More »
