A growing number of gun owners are tired of concealing their weapons when they're out and about, reports the Los Angeles Times . In most states, it's perfectly legal to walk around with a gun in plain view. Backers of the "open carry" movement think it's time to start doing just that, to make the public realize that gun owners are just regular people.

While many states have responded to recent college shootings by debating whether firearms should be allowed on campus, Utah is the only one with such a law on the books—and students at its public universities are taking advantage, CNN reports. Predictably, while some students say they feel safer with their guns on hand, others say it makes classrooms even scarier.
