      (Newser) - Joe Sakic added another line to his amazing playoff resume. Sakic tipped in a shot by Ruslan Salei from the point midway through the first overtime period, his eighth career playoff goal in extra time, to send the Colorado Avalanche past the Minnesota Wild 3-2 on Wednesday night.       (Newser) - The Edmonton Oilers got exactly what they needed today with a 7-5 win over the Colorado Avalanche, reports the Associated Press, as Edmonton's 11th win in 14 games moved the Oilers within three points of the Avalanche for the final playoff spot in the West. Minnesota has a two-point lead over second place Calgary and Colorado.
