Cardinal advance to women's national championship game

(Newser) - Stanford is on its way to the women’s national title game after knocking off No. 1 UConn tonight, 82-73. Senior Candice Wiggins had a game-high 25 points and led in rebounds, as well, with 13. Kayla Pederson did her part and tacked on another 17 for the Cardinal. Huskies avenge earlier loss to No. 4 Rutgers

(Newser) - Top-ranked UConn avenged its only loss of the season tonight, dominating C. Vivian Stringer's Rutgers squad, 66-46, to clinch the Big East regular season title. The Huskies, now 29-1, were led by their trio of stars: Tina Charles with 15 points, 17 rebounds; Renee Montgomery, 21 points; and Maya Moore, 19 points.
