      (Newser) - Influential investor and philanthropist John Marks Templeton has died at age 95. The founder of Templeton Mutual Funds, one of the biggest investment funds in the world, died in the Bahamas, the Washington Post reports. In 1999, Money magazine called him "arguably the greatest global stock picker of the century." He also founded the prestigious Templeton Prize to honor research in the realm of religion and science.       (Newser) - Investor Kirk Kekorian is gobbling up shares of Ford in move seen as a vote of confidence for the automaker’s turnaround efforts, the Wall Street Journal reports. Kerkorian’s Tracinda has bought about 100 million shares and holds a 4.7% stake in the firm. Tracinda also offered to buy 20 million more for $8.50 apiece, 13% more than their market value Friday.
