      Weeks' 2-run Single Wins it for Brewers

      Rickie Weeks hit a bases loaded, two-run single with two outs in the bottom of the ninth to give Milwaukee a 4-3 victory over the St. Louis Cardinals last night and snap the Brewers' six-game losing streak. After looking lethargic most of the game, the Brewers came alive after Cardinals closer Jason Isringhausen recorded two outs on the first two pitches in the ninth. More »

      Brewers Outrun Mets, 9-7

      Gabe Kapler has gone from minor league manager to major league hassle for opposing pitchers. Kapler, who managed in the Red Sox organization last season, homered for the second straight day, doubled twice and drove in three runs as the Brewers beat the Mets 9-7 today. The 32-year-old Kapler came out of retirement during the offseason and has four home runs in 26 at-bats. More »

Home runs by Bill Hall, Rickie Weeks and Gabe Kapler helped Milwaukee come from behind and Sheets (2-0) overcame a shaky start to help Brewers end a three-game losing streak.       The Brewers bailed out Eric Gagne again. Rickie Weeks singled home the winning run in the 10th inning and the Milwaukee Brewers beat the Cincinnati Reds 3-2. With two outs and two strikes in the ninth, Gagne blew his second save in three chances when Corey Patterson hit a homer just over right fielder Corey Hart's leap to tie the game. More »
