      (Newser) - Jered Weaver allowed one hit over seven innings and batterymate Mike Napoli hit a tiebreaking sacrifice fly in the eighth, leading the Los Angeles Angels to a 2-0 victory over the Chicago White Sox on Tuesday night. A.J. Pierzynski's leadoff single in the fifth was the only hit off Weaver. The right-hander struck out six and walked one, coming out of the game after 109 pitches. More »

      (Newser) - In Curt Schilling's first start since a stint on the DL, the righty gave up four runs in six frames, including a go-ahead solo shot by the 5'8", 165-pound Maicer Izturis. It was Izturis's third home run of the year. Schilling's opposite number, Jered Weaver, yielded only Kevin Youkilis's two-run shot in the third, and the bullpen preserved the 4-2 win. More »
