      Pacman Can Play, NFL Says

      (Newser) - Troublemaking cornerback Adam "Pacman" Jones will be allowed to play in the Cowboys' season opener against Cleveland, the Dallas Morning News reports. Jones, traded from Tennessee this year, hasn’t played a regular-season game since Dec. 31, 2006. The league suspended him after six arrests and 12 off-field incidents, including one that involved a shooting at a Vegas strip club. Pacman, however, been trouble-free since then. More »

Now we know.” The rejoinder sparked  complaints against the reformed shock jock, but Imus says he was sympathizing with Jones. “I meant that he was being picked on because he's black,” Imus said.       (Newser) - The Tennessee Titans finally washed their hands of suspended cornerback Adam "Pacman" Jones on Wednesday, agreeing in principle to trade him to the Dallas Cowboys. Cowboys spokesman Rich Dalrymple confirmed the teams had an agreement, but no terms had been filed with the NFL office, which already had closed for the day. More »

      (Newser) - Adam "Pacman" Jones paid "extortion" money to a 29-year-old man arrested for a Las Vegas strip club shooting that left a club employee paralyzed, police said. Arvin Kenti Edwards, of Renton, Wash., allegedly used go-betweens to reach Jones, who paid $15,000 in two installments after the shooting, according to a police report obtained Monday. More »

      (Newser) - Suspended Tennessee Titans cornerback Adam "Pacman" Jones will again ask NFL commissioner Roger Goodell to reinstate him, with his agent planning to send in his latest request on Tuesday. Jones had planned to ask to be reinstated before the NFL draft on April 26-27.
