      (Newser) - The man who murdered John Lennon nearly 30 years ago was denied parole for a fifth time today, the Daily News reports. A state parole board panel blocked the release of Mark David Chapman, who shot the former Beatle outside his New York City apartment building in 1980, because of the premeditated nature of the attack.       (AP) - Christie's auction house has sold John Lennon's handwritten lyrics to "Give Peace a Chance" for $833,654. Lennon wrote and recorded the lyrics during his 1969 Bed-in protest for peace at the Queens Elizabeth Hotel in Montreal. A pajamas-clad Lennon gave the handwritten sheet to a Montreal teenager, who's now a rather flush fan. More »
