New York won't offer Pro Bowler more cash to stave off retirement

(Newser) - The Giants will not offer Michael Strahan more than his current $4 million salary to return next year, the Post reports. General Manager Jerry Reese told the 35-year-old defensive end, who's been mulling over a retirement decision, that New York will proceed as if he were "never coming back."
