(Newser) - In a season of ignominy, Miami reached a new level of embarrassment, setting the modern NBA record for fewest baskets scored with 17 in an 88-62 loss in Boston. After jetting to a 27-4 advantage early, the league-leading Celtics trotted out their backups for much of the rest of the game; no starter played over 25 minutes in the rout. More »

It was a nice welcome back for former Raptor Morris Peterson, who made his first appearance in Toronto since leaving the team last summer. (Newser) - The Phoenix Suns may want Amaré Stoudemire to be involved in double technical fouls more often, after last night's 110-104 win over the New Jersey Nets, reports the Arizona Republic . Stoudemire and Vince Carter were called for technicals after getting mixed up in the third quarter. James has off night, but Cleveland still clinches playoff spot

Hamilton scored 14 points and the Pistons cruised to an 85-71 win over the Cleveland Cavaliers tonight, reports the Associated Press. (Newser) - UCLA is back in the Final Four for the third straight year. In Thursday's win over Western Kentucky, Bruins fans chanted "Keeeeeff" as James Keefe led the charge. (Newser) - Angel McCoughtry did everything she could to lift Louisville past North Carolina today, but it wasn't enough to keep the Tar Heels from a 78-74 win in the women's NCAA Tournament, reports the Associated Press. Boozer and Williams carry load for Jazz, beat Clippers

(Newser) - It took one inspired  Manu Ginobili performance to propel the Spurs from fifth place to second in the Western Conference, the AP reports.  Ginobili broke open in the fourth quarter last night, scoring 16 of his 26 points and thwarting a Minnesota comeback.
