  (Newser) - Scott Upshall scored with 3:04 remaining in the third period and the Philadelphia Flyers advanced to the Eastern Conference final with a 6-4 win over the Montreal Canadiens last night. Upshall deflected Jeff Carter's shot past Carey Price to give Philadelphia its second and final lead of the game as the Flyers won the conference semifinal in five games. More »

Jeff Carter and Daniel Briere also scored to help the Flyers rebound after they blew 2-0 and 3-2 leads Thursday night a 4-3 overtime loss. The Bruins, who trailed 3-1 in the series, stayed alive last night when Marco Sturm scored with 2:37 left for a 5-4 win to force a Game 7. Huet recorded his second shutout for the Caps and 17th of his career by blanking the Florida Panthers, 4-0, making 32 saves. It was Huet's fourth shutout of the season.
