      (Newser) - The Wire actress Felicia “Snoop” Pearson was briefly detained this week by Baltimore police in connection with a murder trial, the Baltimore Sun reports. Pearson, who herself served time for second-degree murder as a juvenile, is thought to have witnessed a knife attack that left one man dead in 2005. Though she previously cooperated with prosecutors, they had not been able to locate or communicate with the potential witness since April. More »

      (Newser) - A Baltimore teen accused of killing his parents and siblings will be tried as an adult, the Baltimore Sun reports. Nicholas Browning, 16, claimed he suffered mental and physical abuse by his parents and asked that his case be transferred to juvenile court. The judge denied his request despite testimony from a forensic psychiatrist stating the boy has a dissociative disorder. More »
