Arguing that the collective bargaining agreement signed last year by the NFL player's union protected all bonus money, Michael Vick's lawyers fought the Falcons' ongoing attempt to recover $22 million in bonuses it had paid the quarterback and convicted dog abuser. The CBA is alleged to override any such forfeiture, even if it is permitted in the player's contract.

First the dogs and dope, now the cash: the Falcons want payback from Michael Vick. And they'll argue for $16 million of it in a hearing set for tomorrow. It's all bonus money that the Falcons say Vick owes, because his guilty plea on federal dogfighting charges violates his 10-year, $130 million contract. The players association will argue that Vick already earned that cash and the Falcons can't take it back.
