Chase Utley had two hits and scored twice and Geoff Jenkins added two hits and an RBI for the Phillies, who have won three straight and six of seven.

Chris Coste had three hits and three RBIs, and the Phillies' bullpen pitched more than five innings of effective relief in Philadelphia's 6-5 win over Pittsburgh on Friday night. Jayson Werth hit his fourth home run in five games and had two RBIs for Philadelphia while Tom Gordon (2-2) pitched one inning of relief to pick up the win.

Xavier Nady's two-run single completed a three-run Pirates comeback after a questionable call apparently cost them a run in the sixth inning, and Pittsburgh ended a six-game losing streak by beating Florida 3-2. Paul Maholm (1-2) limited the Marlins to one run and four hits over six innings, ending a six-game, 11.38-ERA slide for Pittsburgh's starters.

Hanley Ramirez, Josh Willingham, and Dan Uggla homered, and Marlins pitcher Mark Hendrickson, normally one of the majors' worst hitters, had two hits while pitching eight innings of Florida's 10-4 victory over the slumping Pittsburgh Pirates on Monday night. Ramirez, a .457 career hitter in PNC Park, hit a two-run homer during a four-run second inning.
