      (Newser) - Chase Hilgenbrinck was a professional soccer player and a devout Catholic until yesterday, when he announced his retirement from the sport. The 26-year-old will head to a Maryland seminary to begin 6 years of training for the priesthood, AP reports.       (Newser) - Houston rallied to win their second straight MLS final, knocking off New England, 2-1. The Dynamo did its damage in the second half on goals by Joseph Ngwenya and finals MVP Dwayne De Rosario. De Rosario's cross set up Ngwenya's goal, which the striker hit after a mortifying whiff.       NEW YORK (Oct. 24, 2006) - The Major League Soccer Disciplinary Committee today suspended New England Revolution midfielder Shalrie Joseph one game and fined him $500 for violent conduct in the Revolution's 1-0 loss to the Chicago Fire on Sunday, Oct. 22. MLS also fined the Colorado Rapids forward Thiago Martins $250 for the violent nature of his conduct that led to his red card in the Rapids 2-1 loss to FC Dallas on Saturday, Oct. 21. Joseph was involved in an incident with Fire midfielder Ivan Guerrero in first-half stoppage time in which he struck Guerrero with his elbow. After further review...
