On Lambert, GLAAD Cry Bias—About CBS and ABC
No, I don't watch that show. But the double standard is ridiculous.

Banning by IP works only until someone uses a proxy. It's not quite so simple. But they need to do something.

On White House Backs Senate On 'Cadillac' Health Tax
Where will the money for health care reform come from when people no longer choose employer-sponsored plans costing over $8500? And what is a commission going to change in the world of Medicare? I'm not an opponent to health care reform. I just want it to work and not add to the problem.

The hard evidence is there. You just need to read the papers published in peer reviewed journals. Since most of us can't understand scientific writing, just like most of us can't understand legal writing, we rely on science journalism to interpret things for us. Unfortunately, science journalism has been on a decline and there are very few well informed science journalists. @Nixon, science is open for debate, so long as that debate includes facts. It's incredibly unfortunate that the climate change researchers conspired to censor opposing views, because the evidence is there if you just look at it. Glaciers are melting. Snow caps are melting. Entire populations are in danger of losing their water supply. Other populations are in danger of being flooded out of their seaside villages. It's not computer programs that are predicting our climate. It's mathematical models. It's not like they type in, "carbon = 20; if (carbon > 10) { globalWarming = true;}"

On Coma Man's Words May Not Be His
Joker, the man's story is tragic to me. Living 23 years with no ability to communicate sounds like a horror story. To top that off, now he's being used. I don't find much inspiration in this story.

@Kokua, what good will joining the Facebook discussions do? Everyone's afraid to participate because it eliminates anonymity. And Newser, in an attempt to allow "free speech to reign", has not been protecting it's own property. The trolls must go, or there will be nothing left but trolls.

On Va. Socialites Crashed Obama's State Dinner
But his name is Tareq! That doesn't sound like Michael, or John, or Jim Bob. That sounds more like Hasan or Saddam. He must be dangerous! // sarcasm
