A Brazilian man ended his wedding reception by announcing to the assembled guests that he had a “surprise” for them, before taking out a gun and shooting his bride, his best man, and then himself, police tell the AP. All three died. Police believe the man, 29-year-old Rogerio Damascena, had planned Saturday’s murders in advance, but wouldn’t speculate as to his motives.

The families involved were shocked. “He was happy, she was happy, the party was beautiful. His family adored her and doesn't understand this,” the bride’s sister says. “He revealed himself as a sociopath who fooled the entire family and killed his best friend, who was ... the best man.” (More wedding stories.)
