Child Model's Mom Blames Furor on 'Bad Person in USA'
10-year-old child model, Thylane Blondeau, got negative media attention after posing for grown up magazine images. Now her mom is fighting back.   (enews)

The mother of the 10-year-old girl who modeled for Vogue Paris, creating a furor in America over the sexualization of children, has responded to criticism by closing her daughter's Facebook page and leaving a parting message blaming "bad personn in usa [sic]," reports the Telegraph. Although Thylane Loubry Blondeau has been modeling for years, controversy blew up last week thanks to a story by Good Morning America about Blondeau and a Tom Ford-directed photo shoot for Vogue Paris last year.

Blondeau's mother, herself a designer, said she closed the Facebook account to protect her daughter. "thylane doesn't know about the buzz and i want to protect her from the deapest of my heart," wrote Blondeau's mother. "she's so young ,, so we are going to close this accompte for a while [sic]." You can read the mother's full Facebook comment at the Telegraph. (More French Vogue stories.)
