Today, in really important travel news: You can finally carry that snow globe on your flight. That is, as long as it "appears to contain less than 3.4 ounces" of liquid, explains the TSA blog. How to tell if yours qualifies? Make sure it's smaller than a tennis ball. Of course, you'll have to put it in a clear plastic bag. The TSA blog also explains that "contrary to popular belief, fruitcake is a delicious edible and permitted cake, not a WMD." But a TSA official tells NPR gift-wrapped presents pose more of a problem: Be warned that TSA officers may need to unwrap them to see what's inside. (More holidays stories.)
