For the second time in three days, the White House has had to go into lockdown mode because of a security scare, reports USA Today. This afternoon's occurred when two people threw packages over the White House fence—one on the north lawn and one on the south lawn, reports AP. Both people have been detained for questioning, and Secret Service has not said what was in the packages. President Obama is out of town in California today, notes the Washington Post. The incident follows one Tuesday in which a driver apparently made a wrong turn and followed the motorcade carrying the Obama daughters. (More White House stories.)
