It was supposed to be a father and son's first outing to see a Denver Broncos game together. Instead, it turned into a family nightmare after Paul Kitterman, 53, mysteriously vanished during halftime, a friend tells 9News. Tia Bakke and her boyfriend had two extra tickets to Thursday's game at Mile High Stadium, so they invited Kitterman and his son, Jarod Tonneson. The foursome made the two-hour drive to Denver, then Kitterman and his son headed to their seats in one section, and Bakke and her boyfriend went to another. The group met up briefly at halftime—Kitterman reportedly said, "We'll see you after the game"—but then Tonneson went to use the restroom, he tells Fox 31 Colorado, and his dad was gone when he came out.

"We were looking everywhere—in parking lots, trees, bushes, anywhere we could think of," Tonneson tells Fox 31. Bakke adds that Kitterman was not a "technology guy" and didn't have a cellphone or credit cards; she also says he doesn't have medical issues nor would he have done anything reckless, 9News notes. "This is just so not characteristic of Paul," Bakke says. "He would never, ever just leave you hanging, and especially his son. He would never leave Jarod." (This father of the bride went missing after his tux fitting.)
