Michael Sam may be the first openly gay player to be drafted into the NFL, but he tells Oprah Winfrey in a new interview that he's not the only gay man in the league, the Washington Post reports. After he came out, Sam says in an interview airing on OWN Saturday night, "A very few [other gay players] reached out to me and pretty much just told me their gratitude and how thankful they were that I had the courage [to come out]. They wished that they had the courage to come out." He wouldn't say how many, but continued, "There’s a lot of us out there. I’m not the only one. I’m just the only one who’s open."
