Amid a huge manhunt for two suspects in the Charlie Hebdo attack, a policewoman has been shot dead in southern Paris. Heavily armed police have surrounded a building in the area, but it's not clear whether the incident is connected to the terrorist attack on the magazine, CNN reports. The AP reports that the officer had stopped to investigate a car accident when the attacker opened fire. A street sweeper was also hit and seriously injured. A witness says the gunman was dressed in black and his weapon "didn't look like a big gun because he held it with one hand." (More Paris stories.)
