Jon Steindorf's parents headed to his apartment Friday to pick him up for Penn State's graduation—only to discover that not only was the 23-year-old not graduating like he'd told them, but that he'd gone missing. The former student hasn't been seen since Friday morning, the Centre Daily Times reports. Nor was he enrolled for classes last fall, despite having told his parents otherwise, dad Paul Steindorf says. "The most recent information we have is that he was not, in fact, still enrolled, and was not on the list to graduate," his mother, Joanne Steindorf, says in a statement, via Onward State.

Steindorf was last seen by his roommate at 11:30am on Friday. His credit cards, phone, and keys were all left in his apartment, according to a friend's social media posts, per the Centre Daily Times. "The police have gone through his apartment, talked to his roommate, and took his phone for forensic analysis," Joanne Steindorf tells the Daily Collegian. "We've been in contact with all of his friends, everybody they know, and really are just at a loss as to his whereabouts." Steindorf is a white male, 5'10" with brown hair and blue eyes, and weighs about 170 pounds, Onward State reports. He may have a red backpack and black Specialized bike. "We love him and want him to come home to us," his father says. "That’s all that matters to us, is that he’s safe at home." (Another recent missing student lived on fruit for four days.)
