Details emerging from the killing of four adults and two children in Memphis reveal a brutal attack during which the victims—including at least two of the three children who survived—were tortured, the Commercial Appeal reports. Police have uncovered no suspects or motive, and the governor has raised the reward for information in the case to $80,000.

“I feel like my nephews and nieces were tortured and my brother was made to watch,” says the sister of victim Cecil Dotson, the father of all five children. “I have no idea who did it, but I feel like it's somebody who knows him.” One of the young survivors had two fingertips cut off, and another was discovered with a knife protruding from his head. All three remain hospitalized and under police protection. (More Memphis killings stories.)
