Vince Carter had 39 points, 10 assists, and eight rebounds in a dazzling, multi-faceted performance to lead the Nets over the Hawks, 125-117. New Jersey ended the night tied with Atlanta for the Eastern Conference's eighth playoff seed at ten games under .500. Richard Jefferson scored 33 and Devin Harris added 26.

The Hawks started the game hot, entering intermission with a 70-60 lead; the Nets, however, returned the favor with 58% shooting in the second half. Joe Johnson led the Hawks with 24 points; Al Horford bolstered his rookie-of-the-year campaign with 20 points and 15 rebounds. New Jersey won its season series with Atlanta, 3-1. (More NBA stories.)
