Wesley Webb was fighting with boyfriend Keith Smith in their home in Schuylkill Township, Pennsylvania, when she decided to start recording the argument. What she ended up recording was her own murder, police say. Webb, 40, told Smith she would leave with her two children—three kids, all under age 14, were home at the time of Webb's killing on the night of May 2—but the fight continued. In the audio recording she took with her cellphone, Smith can be heard yelling, "You want to record it now, b----?" the Times of Chester County reports. Then a gun goes off and, police say, Smith can be heard shouting, "F--- you! How's that? That's where we just went." Police say Smith shot Webb in the chest as she sat on a couch in the living room.

The 43-year-old Smith then shot himself in the face with the same 12-gauge shotgun, 6 ABC reports. The children came downstairs and discovered the scene, and one of them called 911, Philly.com reports. The recording continues until police arrived on the scene. Per the local district attorney, Smith "did not hesitate to kill his girlfriend. But he flinched when it came to killing himself." He survived the shooting and is hospitalized in stable condition, charged with first-degree murder, third-degree murder, and endangering the welfare of children. The DA says Webb's recording will be admissible in court. Webb's sister has started a GoFundMe campaign to raise money for the two children she left behind, Matthew and Madison. (This husband was watching on FaceTime as a tornado killed his wife.)
