If you've ever had the desire to stand 500 feet above Seattle with nothing but a piece of glass preventing you from falling to the street, well, the Space Needle is now the place for you, reports CNN. A newly unveiled renovation features something called "the Loupe," which is the world's only revolving glass floor, powered by 12 motors. To be fair, the floor is made of what CNN calls "10 layers of tightly bonded glass," which makes falling through it less than likely. And for those who can stomach the thought of eating in such a setting, the rotating SkyCity restaurant is also getting a glass floor and will reopen this year. As part of the renovation, entire floors of the Space Needle, as well as walls and barriers, were replaced with structural glass. (More Space Needle stories.)
