It wasn't your typical ride to jail. A Florida police officer has been suspended without pay for 20 days over the sexual activity that happened in the back seat of his patrol car on July 14, among other violations. Officer Doug McNeal with the Fort Pierce Police Department responded to a shoplifting call at Walmart and took Zachery Moellendick, 23, and Krista Leigh, 24, into custody. An internal affairs report released Friday found McNeal didn't adhere to procedure from the get-go: Moellendick, who the Washington Post notes was on crutches, wasn't handcuffed, and neither he nor Leigh were wearing seat belts. While en route to the St. Lucie County Jail, "Just the Way You Are" by Bruno Mars and "Can't Get Enough Of Your Love" by Barry White played on the car stereo, reports TCPalm, and the latter song's words apparently rang true.

Per the report, video footage shows the couple "holding each other, cuddling, and kissing." When the car arrives at the jail, McNeal parks the car and finishes paperwork with the two still in the backseat. He allows Leigh to smoke a cigarette Moellendick had behind his ear in the car in violation of policy. The report then states that "due to Leigh and Moellendick's body posture and arm movements, it is apparent Moellendick and Leigh [are] sexually pleasuring each other with their hands. This continues for approximately six minutes." The report quotes McNeal as saying he was "fine" with the kissing but didn't see the sexual activity progress beyond that.
